Before we go any further, the Rhyoss race requires that a copy of TA: Core Contingency be installed in your TA directory. It requires several of the features included in it to run.

Once again, the wait has been long, but the resaults are worth the wait. Nearly every unit has been retextured and many of the old designs have been replaced. This makes all the units fit togather and makes it a better race. All the units now have their correct build pictures which have been changed to black background pics. These build pics are not perminant and will eventually be replaced, but all display the units as they now are. Also one big change over the previous version. This version is about 2-3mb SMALLER then the last version.





Here is the little file you will need to add to your download if you want to use the Rhyoss with Warpgate.(If you don't have warpgate, skip this file)

Here it is, this little file is all that is needed to allow the Rhyoss to be used with Warpgate.




Here is the new updated download style. Chose the Version you use (TA:M or Straight TA) and then follow the installation directions that are with them.



Below is the 2 parts of the Straight TA download. If you do NOT have or use TA:Mutations(TAM) then this is the version of the Rhyoss race that you need.



Here you can get the first half of the Straight TA download. This zip file contains the rev31 file, the custom exe, and the texture pack file. (2.71mb)



Here you can get the second half of the Straight TA download. It is a large file, about 3.47mb in size. If this is a problem, message me and I'll upload a segmented version.
Ths file contains the Rhyoss_units.ufo file.




To install the Rhyoss for a Straight TA install you will need to do the following...


1: Install Total Annihilation(if you haven't already).
2: Install TA: Core Contingency(if you haven't already).
3: Install the Cavedog 3.1 patch.
4: Move the Cavedog rev31.gp3 file and the revision.gpf(if present) that were installed by the 3.1 patch, into the backup folder in your TA directory.
5: Extract all the files from the Rhyoss_data1-9ota.zip and Rhyoss_units1-9.zip files into your Total Annihilation directory. (C:\Cavedog\Totala by default).
6: Play using the Rhyoss.exe, and enjoy.

To Uninstall:


1: Remove the Rhyoss_units.ufo, Rhyoss_textures.ufo, rev31.gp3, and Rhyoss.exe files from your TA directory..
2: Place the Cavedog rev31.gp3 and revision.gpf files back in your dir.

2: Play using the Rhyoss.exe or by using TAM (you will get a message asking if you want to proceed, this is normal and a safety feature of TAM, just proceed) and enjoy.
